The Risk manager is responsible for the implementation of the Enterprise risk management framework and the identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of risk to Management and the Board of HoldCo and its subsidiaries.  
 
The Risk Manager has primary responsibility for risk within Holdco, FSDH Asset Management, FSDH Capital, and FSDH Newco and will work with other risk management teams in coverage of the remaining subsidiaries.

The FSDH Group follows a three-lines-of-defense approach and you will be accountable for supporting and providing oversight to Management in their 1st line of defense role as well as taking full responsibility for providing a strong 2nd line of defense.

The Risk Manager requires the skills and experience to engage with stakeholders at all levels and provide guidance and advice to the business in the structuring of operations and mitigation of risk. The Risk Manager must have an excellent level of technical expertise and be able to coach and mentor the team effectively. You must be a good communicator, have strong negotiation skills and leadership ability. Experience in capital markets is an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Ensure that appropriate risk policies and controls are in place and working as required covering but not limited to the following major risk categories:

1) Enterprise Risk Management
2) Market Risk Management
3) Credit Risk Management
4) Liquidity Risk Management
5) Operational risk management
6) Technology and cyber security risk management
7) Outsourcing risk management
8) Business continuity planning and coordination
10) Conflicts of interest  / Chinese walls

b) Structure and lead work to identify risks through qualitative and quantitative risk assessment and analysis of all business, product, and customer risks.

c) Develop plans, in conjunction with the business, to mitigate identified risks.

d) Formulation of risk limits, monitoring of exposures, and reporting of exceedances and risk issues.

e) Develop relationships with Risk managers within the subsidiaries and ensure that reporting is provided that gives a true picture of risk within the subsidiaries. Work with risk management in the subsidiaries to deliver group-wide risk projects

f) Produce risk dashboards and other reports to Management and Board on a monthly / quarterly basis.

g) Work with the Board to formulate a risk appetite and associated risk limits

h) Provide risk training & education and enforce, within line functions, the execution of daily controls and timely reporting of risk issues;

i) Chair Management risk committees and be an active member of other risk related Committees and meetings.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline / one requiring a high level of numeracy. a Masters degree is an added advantage
  • Professional qualifications in the risk management field
  • Experience or exposure to ERM approaches
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in risk management; ideally in capital markets or financial markets

REQUIRMENTS:
  1. Familiarity with risk management related regulatory requirements, practices, procedures, systems and framework of the financial industry
  2. Experience of liaising with a broad range of stakeholders
